Out today in the Crieff area with the 11 walkers from the Falkirk Community Trust 50+ Tryst. We’d chosen this area as the rain was due to arrive later in the day and this turned out to be the case with the rain only setting in around mid-afternoon.
Craig and James had a group climbing at Bennybeg and reported relatively dry rock until the rain set in. The weather is currently a major talking point in Scotland with the central east coast having had three times the average rainfall for June and so far in July 30% more rain than the average for the month; meanwhile the north-west coast has head very little rain with reports of crags being the driest they’ve been for many years.
