The British Isles has a wealth of rock climbing on sea cliffs, mountain crags, edges and quarry’s and on a huge number of rock types. This course will give you the skills necessary to tackle these routes under your own steam.
Venues: The Climbnow team can travel to your base. Commonly used venues are the Central Scotland crags, Borrowdale (The Lake District) and Snowdonia.
Dates: April – October
Ratio: 1:2 maximum
What’s included: Instruction, helmets, harnesses and all technical equipment.
Who’s it for: Anyone interested in rock climbing. It is useful, though not essential, to have taken part in indoor climbing or outdoor climbing previously.

- Seconding routes – the removal of ‘trad’ gear, climbing calls.
- Attaching to anchors.
- Leading climbs – placing gear.
- Guidebook interpretation.
- Abseiling.
- Coiling ropes.
