Today is the first day of my Alpine Guides Assessment. We ventured out from the Midi station in less than perfect conditions to complete a crevasse rescue session before climbing Cosmiques Arete in the rain, sleet and snow. The one advantage of the poor weather was that we had the route to ourselves.
