A Report from the West

For the last three days I have been on the West coast of Scotland working on a Winter Mountain Leader course. On Monday we visited the Glencoe ski area. There was lots of fresh powder snow around and exposed turf was frozen. Yesterday, we visited Aonach Mor. The conditions were similar with rimed rocks and frozen turf where exposed.

The view from Glencoe ski area on Monday.

Today, we were in Stob Coire nam Beith. Some windlab and cornices were building. The turf was in good condition and the buttresses were white.

Church Door Buttress today.
