Heavy snow arrived overnight and has continued throughout the whole day in Glencoe. This has been accompanied by strong winds and will be rapidly building the avalanche risk. It is worth checking the SAIS website before going out.
The team and I did however have a good day above the Glencoe Ski Centre looking at winter skills and ascending to the summit of Creag Dubh.
The most difficult part of the day for us was the small road leading to and from the ski centre. We required snow chains in both directions. Difficult driving conditions look likely over the next few days.
