Geocaching yesterday and then out rock climbing at Benny Beg today with groups from the final two days of The City of Edinburgh Council Summer Programme. Benny Beg was much quieter today and there were a few showers around, however the crag stayed dry and the group enjoyed the climbing.
The Summer Programme has been great to work on and lots of kids have tried new activities, improved existing skills in activities they’ve done before, generally had a good time and burnt off some energy in the process. There are normally October break, Easter and Summer programmes, so if you live in the Edinburgh area and are looking for outdoor activities for young people they’re worth checking out. For the rest of the year Adventure Edinburgh is worth thinking about if they have an interest in Rock Climbing, Hill Walking or Mountain Biking.
