Some racking of brains to figure out where might avoid the showers for multi-pitch climbing saw John and I with a team of Bob, David, Gayle and Graeme from Falkirk Community Trust Outdoors heading back in to Coire an t-Sneachda today. Despite it being a high, North facing crag better known for it’s winter climbing the decision paid off with only a couple of extremely light showers and dry rock where it mattered.
John climbed the excellent The Magic Crack with Gayle and Graeme, as none of them had climbed it before. They all enjoyed the route, particularly the sustained nature of the third pitch. Bob, David and I climbed Pot of Gold in four pitches, which gave some very pleasant climbing, particularly on the second and third pitches.
