Out today with Cliff and Ali on the Grey Mare’s Tail. The route is in good condition with both the left and right sides climbable, although there’s still plenty of water coming down the middle. Three other teams on the route; a pleasant atmosphere, but care/thought required with falling ice. The road is hard packed snow and ice (we came in from the Selkirk end and out via Moffat) and they’re both the same. I wouldn’t have fancied the drive without a 4×4 and it’s likely to stay the same for a while.
