Monday 21st January

Damo, Greg, Simon and i climbed West Chimney in Stob Coire Nam Beith, Glencoe today.  The conditions on the ascent were excellent with good neve, turf and the route completely rimed.

The conditions on the descent were not as good with large areas of hard windslab over a layer of powder snow.  It was possible to move between areas of neve and rock outcrops for most of the way.

Mr Miaggi and Sean climbed Sphinx ridge reporting good conditions but the difficulties being for a much greater distance than indicated by the guidebook.
