Pentlands Navigation Course

Today I was out in the Pentlands delivering a navigation course for the City of Edinburgh Council. The hills and paths were pleasantly dry given the quantities of rain these hills have received over the last few months. The day was mostly sunny with one graupel shower on a fresh and cool Westerly wind. Great views to some higher hills including the Ochils, with a dusting of snow on the higher tops; the Ben Vorlich area, Ben Ledi and Ben Lomond all of which were looking white with snow. A very pleasant day with a group who picked up the skills well. No camera today, so no photos I’m afraid.

The next three days I should be in the Ben Nevis area, but will probably only be able to post a conditions report when I’m back on Wednesday night.
