The Pink Rib

There was a few hours respite in Glencoe this morning from the strong winds and snowfall. We took advantage of this by visiting the Pink Ribs and surrounding buttresses of Beinn a Chrulaiste.

We used the terrain to look at short roping in the Scottish winter environment.

I have just driven down from Ballachulish to South Queensferry. The road around Bridge of Orchy, Tyndrum and Glen Ogle was becoming difficult to pass in the heavy snowfall and strong winds that have returned this afternoon. This will be adding to the avalanche risk and already difficult climbing conditions.
