Martin and I have had a great day out today in the Aiguille Rouges above Chamonix. Lots of the recent snow has gone from this area putting it back into condition for rock climbing. We began the day by climbing the 8 pitch Voie Gaspard Premier on the Aiguille Gaspard des Crochues (2785m). A quick descent then leads to the Col des Crochues from where we completed the traverse of the Aiguille Crochues (2840m). From there we descended to the Lac Blanc Hut for a coffee before returning to L’Index station and Chamonix.
